Top 5 Reasons why your Loyalty Program is struggling

We asked Tom, our Managing Director, to share his top picks for 2022. Here's what he said...

My most active programs are Amazon Prime and British Airways. I am most active with these because they are super convenient and continue to provide value.

Amazon Prime just makes my life easier every day and I feel like I save money overall. BA is easy as I have a BA Amex so I collect points effortlessly, and I can use these for free trips and experiences.

However, these aren’t really my favourite programmes in terms of innovation and customer appeal...

For those, I’d go for Planet Brewdog which offers discounts, and rewards earned by behaviours rather than spending and are focused on carbon neutrality. It's convenient, engaging, valuable and creates a sense of community.

The other program I really admire is the Pret subscription programme where customers pay £25 a month and get unlimited drinks. This is really clever and has had a massive impact on Pret's business.

People are now walking past other coffee shops to find a Pret because they feel invested in the brand – which of course they actually are!
