Investigating the future of Retail Banking Customer Loyalty with Jas Shah

In this episode I am joined by Jas Shah, Financial Services Product Consultant and Strategy leader, Blog author and self-confessed Fintech Nerd.

Between us, we have decades of experience in FS loyalty and tech development and the podcast provides an insightful discussion about the significant developments to the industry since the sea change of 2008.

We look at how the financial crisis shaped many of the strategies we see today and also enabled a huge amount of innovation, which has led to the emergence of the Neobanks and a whole different approach to retail banking.

In particular, we discuss emerging technologies that are enabling banks to create very strong customer engagements - when they do it right.  It's true to say that retail banks are incredibly well placed to create customer loyalty programmes based on their wealth of data and merchant partners and we look at a few great examples of retail banks getting this right.

Finally, we take a look at specific technology solutions in FS, such as Card-linking, Open Banking, NFC and the resurgence of the mighty QR code!  It will be fascinating to see how these technologies play out for banks looking to engage the customer better.
