Is Your Loyalty Program Christmas Ready?

The Christmas ads are out in full force, with John Lewis partnering with charity Action For Children, Elf making an appearance for ASDA and ALDI channelling Home Alone with Kevin the Carrot.

Expensive TV ads might not be in the budget for everyone and many question the long-term loyalty benefits. However, giving your loyalty program a holiday makeover may help you harness the festive cheer to build relationships that last all year round.

Come Back Offer
An offer to entice your customers to shop with you again in a quieter month can help build repeat customers. An example would be a £10 voucher to be spent in January, with every £100 spent in December.

Mini Game
We all love winning right? Starbucks uses seasonal mini-games that customers can plan to win extra gold stars. Adding a game to your loyalty program is another great way to engage your audience and set you apart from competitors. You could also re-skin an existing game with some festive characters!

Rework Rewards
Rework your rewards into a holiday campaign such as 12 days of Christmas advent calendar, rewarding users for coming back to the app each day with a unique reward.

Gather Data
Christmas is a great time to get push new sign-ups to your loyalty program or mobile app with limited offers. You can gather invaluable shopper data and it gives you a way of communicating with new customers post-festivities!
