Emotion promotion: the new rules of loyalty for the post-COVID era
We are hearing a lot about the evolution of the Metaverse right now and how this is changing the way we will work, play and interact with each other. My son has an Occulus and regularly plays games with random strangers all over the world in his version of the Metaverse.
Whilst our new world order has us all working from home, we are starting to see companies investing in virtual meetings through their Metaverse. Many brands are starting to create immersive experiences for their customers to investigate their products virtually through the Metaverse or to learn more about the brand.
It’s all got me thinking about how the virtual world will change the way that brands create and reward loyalty with their customers in the Metaverse. I am sure we will start to see brands incentivising virtual experiences with loyalty rewards, but I believe that future trends for customer loyalty through the Metaverse will be more about the experiences and engagements with the brand that create emotional connections.
Through VR, a customer could see their dress being made in a sustainable way, review all the optional extras on their new car, or learn how to beat the end of level Boss.
