302 – The Intersection of Loyalty and Payments

This course has been newly developed for the 2019-2020 curriculum.
It will focus on building a foundational understanding of how the payments industry, and all of its disruptive technologies, will help evolve the principals and practices of loyalty marketing in both the present environment and the future.
Students will learn about the similarities in data capture and infrastructure, the influence of mobile payments, the critical role of all POS systems and learn about some new developments in the payments/loyalty landscape.
Discussion will explore some prominent examples and what you need to know to stay on top of the emerging trends in the payments space.
